Rich Matta currently serves as Head of ReputationDefender, the largest and most prominent firm in the field of online reputation management and privacy. He regularly consults with high-profile individuals, executives, public figures and businesses to build positive online reputations and suppress unwelcome and defamatory information online.

Rich came to ReputationDefender from Support.com, a leading provider of cloud software and services for technology support, where he was a key member of the early founding team that grew the company to a $100M run rate by 2013. Previously, Rich held multiple leadership and executive roles in product management and engineering at SupportSoft (now part of Aptean), culminating in the successful sale of the business in 2009. Prior to this, Rich spent a number of years with Deloitte Consulting, where he managed and delivered a series of strategy and technology projects in the US and Europe.

Rich holds a degree in Economics with high honors from Pomona College.

Brian Terrazas currently serves as ReputationDefender’s Director of Sales and oversees all sales and service operations including customer service, account development, inbound/outbound sales, and account management. He brings more than 14 years of experience in selling, training, and accelerating professionals in sales and leadership. Brian’s teams serve as the front line for ReputationDefender’s work to help project the right image, bury negative/misleading search results, and remove sensitive personal information for its customers. His teams work with a wide range of clients including everyday consumers, business owners, and professionals. 

Prior to ReputationDefender, Brian worked for TTEC, a global business process outsourcing company. At TTEC, he oversaw outbound sales, retention, and account management for AT&T Business. Brian studied at Arizona State University and enjoys traveling, trying the city’s best food, and spending time with his family when not in the office.

Michael Fertik founded ReputationDefender with the belief that people and businesses have the right to control and protect their online reputations and privacy. He led the company with distinction as CEO for nearly a decade before transitioning to his current advisory role in August 2015.

As an ongoing member of the board, Michael continues to help guide the company and engage in strategic marketing and client development. He supports the ReputationDefender management team with his unique vision as a pioneer in the online reputation and Big Data/Big Analysis space, helping the company expand and grow in the enterprise and consumer markets.

A futurist, Michael is credited with pioneering the field of online reputation management (ORM) and lauded as the world’s leading cyberthinker in digital privacy and reputation.

Michael was named Entrepreneur of the Year by TechAmerica, an annual award given by the technology industry trade group to an individual they feel embodies the entrepreneurial spirit that made the U.S. technology sector a global leader.

He is a member of the World Economic Forum Agenda Council on the Future of the Internet, and a recipient of the World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer 2011 Award. Through his leadership, the Forum named ReputationDefender a Global Growth Company in 2012.

Michael is an industry commentator with guest columns in Harvard Business Review, Reuters, Inc.com and Newsweek. Named a LinkedIn Influencer, he regularly blogs on current events as well as developments in entrepreneurship and technology. Michael is the co-author of two books, Wild West 2.0 (2010), and The New York Times bestseller, The Reputation Economy (2015).

He frequently appears on national and international television and radio, including the BBC, Good Morning America, Today Show, Dr. Phil, CBS Early Show, CNN, Fox, Bloomberg, and MSNBC.

Michael founded his first Internet company while at Harvard College. He received his JD from Harvard Law School.
