The definition of online research is using the Internet to find information on a certain topic. Online research is often done using search engines but also includes the use of databases and catalogues. Online research can be incredibly useful and effective, but not all of the information on the Internet is accurate and may be taken out of context, so care should be taken when conducting online research.
