Background Check


The definition of background check is research into an individual’s past in order to make sure that they have accurately described their experiences. Background checks are commonly used in the application and hiring process, but may also be used when applying for credit or housing. A background check often includes prior work experience and criminal records. When using the Internet to conduct a background check it is called an online background check.
