Summary:

The User Experience and Design Lead will be the visionary and voice of the customer experience within the organization.

The UED Lead will be responsible for:
- User research and usability
- User interaction design
- Visual design

This individual will be responsible for taking the next generation product vision for the full suite of ReputationDefender products and turning it into a design and functional reality.

This position will report to the Director, Product Management and will be a leader within the Product team. This role will heavily partner with product management, QA, engineering, customer support, and marketing.

Detailed Role Description:

The primary role of the User Experience and Design Lead is to define an overarching, holistic vision for the visual and interactive experience of the ReputationDefender products, and partner with product management and engineering to bring this vision to reality.

At the core you’ll define the reputation management “story”, identify core customer types and needs, and transform unmet customer needs and business opportunities into successful product designs.

Strategy:
• Develop and drive long-term user experience strategy
• Tightly partner with product management to develop the face and interactions of all product roadmap initiatives
• Understand the needs of internal and external customers, the business, and the competitive landscape – through data-driven analysis and strong research methodologies
• Establish methodologies for collecting customer feedback in all stages of product development (early conception, mid-creation, and post-launch)
• Be a key catalyst in driving a culture of innovation and teamwork centered around the needs of our customers
• Provide design direction and creative leadership to deliver features that continuously delight customers

Execution:
• Partner with Product Management leads on a daily basis
• Interact with other key organizational leads, collaboratively driving necessary discussions, decisions, and outcomes.
• Manage projects running concurrently on multiple tracks from planning through launch.
• Develop content, design standards, and industry best practices
• Produce all necessary wireframes, mockups, prototypes, graphic elements, etc. needed to design and launch products.
• Identify and prioritize existing usability issues and define solutions to address them
• Act as the “voice of the customer” across all internal discussions and decisions that impact user experience

This role will require staying abreast of the rapidly changing technologies and approaches in web and e-commerce in general, and in the areas of SaaS, social networking, search engine, and SEO in particular.

This person will be a major thought leader in the organization and must be capable of highly innovative, highly collaborative problem solving in a fast-changing and growing environment.


Skills Required:
• Minimum 8+ years experience as web-related lead UI designer, preferably consumer-facing and transaction-oriented products
• Degree in human interface design, interaction design, human-computer interaction, or information design. Advanced degree in these fields a plus.
• Excellent understanding of user experience design for the web, technology trends, demonstrable design skills, and ability to show relevant work.
• Experience with formal design, usability, and research methodologies.
• Excellent understanding of web technologies and how to work with developers to leverage them.
• Extensive experience with generating wireframes, static and dynamic prototypes, and other mockup methods.
• Motivated self-starter, with a high capacity for rapid learning. Ability to independently own complex problems and deliver great solutions.

The Customer Support and Loyalty Specialist (CSS) is a key link between the ReputationDefender marketing staff and the end customer. The CSS will monitor and communicate through a number of different channels such as email, phone, and letter correspondence. The CSS will work cross-functionally with colleagues in operations, technology, product management and marketing to ensure highest quality of service. Position Overview

The “Director, Offline Marketing” for ReputationDefender will have responsibility for driving offline customer acquisition and retention, creating and building the corporate Brand, developing online and offline creative, maintaining key distribution partnerships, consumer research and product packaging and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Branding and Creative Development – Work with the CMO (and outside contract partners) to develop a tighter corporate brand positioning as well as refined and validated product branding. Lead the development and testing of offline creative in support of customer acquisition (radio, DRTV, print, out of home, trade, collateral). Work closely with Online team to develop breakthrough, effective, low CPA online creative (including banners, landing pages, text ads). Work closely with Product and Ops teams to deliver brand proposition in operational product delivery.

• Marketing Strategy and Planning – Partner with the CMO to architect an integrated marketing strategy (brand, distribution, pricing and packaging) based on rigorous quantitative analysis and marketplace insight. Utilize relevant market data, consumer research and insights, and competitive intelligence to identify new business opportunities.

• Product Marketing – Partner with Product team to guide and enhance the development of products and services that meet the needs of consumers and as well as existing customers. Develop strategies and communications that support the expansion and customization of existing products and the introduction of new products.

• Customer Acquisition and Loyalty – Through strategic segmentation and enhanced targeting, and by optimizing the Marketing mix, lead Marketing’s efforts to drive revenue through stronger customer acquisition, enhanced retention, cross-sell and up-sell, and a relentless focus on improving ROI (reducing cost-per-acquisition) and maximizing LTV (Lifetime Value).

• Marketing Partnerships – Lead identification and execution of Partnership Marketing opportunities which help drive profitable results and are consistent with, and supportive of, the company’s mission. Work closely with Business Development to enhance and maintain relationships with key channel partners. Develop new ideas and creative methods of enhancing effectiveness of partnerships.

• Insights and Innovation Leadership – Using cutting edge quantitative and qualitative research techniques, track consumer awareness and attitudes towards company, category and competitors as well as existing customer satisfaction. In addition, identify broad marketplace and consumer trends that may impact the business.

• Functional Operations Improvement – Review and enhance, where necessary, all Marketing processes, measurements, information systems, etc., that are needed to enable the Marketing function to operate efficiently and effectively in pursuit of its objectives. Provide critical linkage to Product, Finance, OPs and Business Development groups.

Reporting Relationships

The “Director, Offline Marketing” will report to the CMO, Terrence Sweeney.

The Marketing staff is currently organized into four teams – Offline Marketing (Product Marketing, MarCom, Offline Media), Online Marketing (SEO, SEM, Affiliate, Online Media), Website Operations (production, coordination, analytics) and Public Relations. The new “Director, Offline Marketing” will work closely with the other three groups to acquire and retain customers efficiently.

The ReputationDefender Data Analyst Intern will be responsible for analyzing and tracking the multitude of marketing and product tests as well as helping with web analytics and business analysis.

Detailed Role Description:

The primary role of the Data Analyst Intern will be to own and manage the analysis of all the web tests throughout our marketing and product experience. This will include

• Working with the marketing managers and product managers to understand the test design in order to determine potential interference and validity of the test
• Gathering status of the tests and the latest test data
• Analyzing test data from our test framework, web analytics, and business data warehouse to determine which cells are winning and when we can close out a test
• Leveraging analysis to help propose potential follow up tests

In addition, there may be a need to help with the weekly reporting and deep analysis of web analytics (primarily Google Analytics) and business reporting (e.g. acquisition, retention, revenue, etc).

Skills Required:

• Minimum 2 years of college education having taken classes in statistics and preferably data analytics.
• Expert in Excel (pivot tables, advanced functions, macros are a plus)
• Familiarity with Google Analytics is preferred and familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g. Google Website Optimizer) is a plus.
• Motivated self-starter, with a high capacity for rapid learning.
• Expertise in SQL is a bonus

Compensation and Work Hours:

• This will be a part-time contract position for now at around 20-30 hours per week
